Old Camp Meadow at Homestead Preserve
Homestead Preserve is a preservation community located in rural Bath County, Virginia near the iconic 18th-century resort, The Homestead. This collateral was created to sell a dozen premium homesites at Old Camp Meadow, once a resting place for travelers. The journal concept was developed with the idea that you could keep the leather binding as part of a personal journal–one that would record the history you and your family would make together. Produced at Hill Mullikin in collaboration with Jeff Brostoff and Jami Mullikin. Copy is provided below the images.

The Homestead: American Birthplace of The Good Life.
The resplendent beauty of Bath County and the Virginia Highlands has endured for the ages. Soak Up The Timeless Charm of Bath County.
Family, friends and neighbors still mean something in Bath County, Virginia. The time-honored traditions of Highlands living are alive and well here. Time has passed ever so kindly in this pastoral countryside, where hundreds of thousands of acres of breathtaking Allegheny mountain views are made all the more spectacular by thick woodlands, meandering streams and breathtaking waterfalls. A sanctuary of natural wonder, Bath County is home not only to The Homestead and Homestead Preserve, but the George Washington National Forest, Douthat State Park and The Nature Conservancy’s Warm Springs Mountain Preserve.
As early as the 1660s, visitors traveled to the Virginia Highlands to relish the clear mountain air, “take the waters” of the restorative springs, and revel in the breathtaking country landscapes. Little has changed since. In the long and celebrated history of Bath County, there has never been a more promising era than now. And there has never been a more inviting and fitting community in which to live than Homestead Preserve.
Homestead Preserve. A Future As Rich As Its Past.
People first came to these majestic Virginia hills to find a grand retreat, famous for its soothing natural mineral springs and escape from the rigors of everyday living. Today, this retreat is finally available for a fortunate few to enjoy every day, every season.
Homestead Preserve, 11,500 acres of glorious beauty, protected by the venerable Homestead Resort, is a community unlike any you have experienced. Life at Homestead Preserve marks a return to a simpler, richer way of life amid natural elegance, where the past, present and future converge to create a stunning retreat. The home you create here will have strong roots in a glorious past, strong enough to thrive for generations to come. Indeed, you and your family will become part of an ageless, never-ending story.
The Best Things In Life Never Change.
Land this pristine, this inspiring and this well suited for mountain living is a rarity indeed. The unspoiled nature of Homestead Preserve is the direct result of careful stewardship by its neighbor, The Homestead. The very day the developer acquired the land, the first official act was to transfer 9,250 acres to The Nature Conservancy to ensure that this “last great place” would be protected in perpetuity.
Additional donation of conservation easements on 935 additional acres to the Virginia Outdoors Foundation further guarantees awe-inspiring landscapes of mountains and meadows for generations to come. In the end, no more than 325 of the original 11,500 acres will ever be affected by development. The Homestead Preserve your great grandchildren will cherish will very much resemble the Homestead Preserve you enjoy today.
The Virginia Hot Springs Preservation Trust
A portion of every property sale at Homestead Preserve goes to The Virginia Hot Springs Preservation Trust. To date, the Trust has raised over $1 million in funds to be used for historic preservation and restoration, environmental conservation and stewardship, agricultural cultivation and other worthwhile efforts aimed at preserving the rich heritage of the region
Your Storied Address In Old Camp Meadow.
The healing and restorative nature of the Virginia Highlands has never been limited to the springs. Just south of The Homestead, a crisscross of old trails meander up and through lush acres of sugar maple and oak. This gentle slope is known as Delafield Rise, named for nineteenth century physician Francis Delafield, who created a path calculated to offer “controlled exercise,” fresh air and the most advantageous of health benefits to those who walked it.
Within Delafield Rise, Old Camp Meadow stands much as it stood over 100 years ago when it first invited respite from mountain travel. It’s here amid this modest clearing that once invited travelers to stop, stretch their legs and make a comfortable camp, that Homestead Preserve is offering one its most anticipated real estate releases to date
